The Comedy About Spies
A pun-laden slapstick farce done to perfection thanks to the whip-smart writing, acting and direction from masters of the genre, Mischief Theatre.

A Sixties spy spoof that is like Johnny English meets Basil Fawlty in a Piccadilly hotel. It's bigger, better and more brilliantly bungling than ever

Mischief is back with another mission! From the creators of The Play That Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery comes this exhilarating production that will leave you shaken (not stirred) with laughter! Following two hugely successful West End runs, The Comedy About Spies is heading out on its first-ever UK tour in 2027, bringing secret agents and spectacularly silly situations to 17 venues across the country.
The Comedy About Spies takes place in swinging 1960s London, with chaos ensuing when a British double agent swipes the blueprints for a top-secret weapon being developed. Writers Henry Lewis and Henry Shields have redefined modern farce through their brilliant work as part of Mischief Theatre, and this new piece, under the direction of Matt Di Carlo (The Play That Goes Wrong off-Broadway, Moulin Rouge) is absolutely no exception.
Following the theft of the plans for a secret weapon, the CIA and the KGB descend upon the luxurious Piccadilly Hotel to make contact with the British double agent responsible. But when an unwitting couple and an actor auditioning to be in the James Bond movies get tangled up in things, the stage is set for a whirlwind of mistaken identities and the most farcical espionage in the whole of the Cold War!
This production includes strobe lighting, infrequent mild bad language and the use of haze and gunshots.
Silly Summer Fun
From the minds behind The Play That Goes Wrong et al. comes this brand new show, once again proving that these guys are the kings of modern comedy theatre. Featuring a ridiculous story that pits the CIA against the KGB like a Le Carre novel as imagined..
