AMAZING SHOW

Went to Woking last night with my daughter and granddaughter and we absolutely loved the show. Dorothy had an amazing voice. Craig played his part very well as did Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion. The stage setting was very good also. Well done to all the cast!

GREAT CAST, LOVELY SHOW

Jason Manford as the cowardly lion was outstanding and made everyone laugh with his comic acting. He has a great singing voice too. Ashley Banjo was also very good, as was Gary Wilmot. Thought Dorothy should have been played by someone who looked younger. Overall a very entertaining show.

A COLOURFUL NIGHT OF MUSICAL FUN.

Costumes and staging were visually engaging. The casting of Ashley Banjo as the Tin Man was perfect , he did a great job making his West End debut. The smallest member of the cast , besides Toto , was Charlotte St Croix , a short but sassy solo gave us a taste of her star quality. I believe she is understudying Dorothy , I will buy tickets to see it again if she takes the lead. A fun night of colour , humour and song .

A GREAT SHOW

Jason Manford is outstanding as the cowardly lion. The actors playing Dorothy and the good witch had amazing voices. I didn’t like the puppet Toto as the puppeteer was distracting. Why not use a real dog?

FABULOUS

I have read some very negative reviews but this show when I saw it ( Thursday matinee) was fabulous and highly entertaining. It's a different interpretation which some people don't seem to appreciate. The use of film as a backdrop is imaginative and helpful ( except when it overexplains the farm hands turning into the characters in Oz - no need really). The ensemble cast of munchkins et al are brilliant. Dorothy carries her role and has a great singing voice - (what did you want? Julie Garland and Eva Cassidy are both dead!) Toto is a joy - he could have been given more solo moments as he is a bit overshadowed. The scarecrow, tin man and lion are all fantastic especially Jason Manford who gives us exactly what we want by being exactly like the film character - his is a stand out performance. The whole thing is fun fun fun and my autistic son, who always leaves any performance at the interval, stayed for the whole duration, smiling and laughing. Thank you cast and crew!!!

GOOD SHOW

An excellent afternoon's entertainment. Good view even from up in the gods. Set simple but effective and Toto was brilliant. Cast's energy at the end unbelievable.

COLOURFUL AND FULL OF FUN

Let's get the bad points out the way. Shame no one from the West End production was in the Oxford show. Also alot of video used. Besides that it was great. The singing was great, not messed about with so could recognise the tunes. The special effects were good, the hurricane really good. Loved the scarecrow really got into the part. We had a great granny and 6 year old both came out " following the yellow brick road". Thank you new theatre for the booster seat for the little on. Wonderful afternoon out.
