Went to see King and I 31.3.23 in Bristol hippodrome. The show was wonderful. The whole experience was amazing. The story line was as the original was All the characters were perfect and the songs were sang with heart, strength and stamina. All the acting was meaningful and heartfelt. Myself, my sister and mother loved it. I would recommend this show to everybody. The hippodrome has great access for disabled people who I was with. The only one negative is there was a cold breeze throughout the first half of the show. This shouldn’t happen when it’s a pricey experience and the hippodrome should accommodate its occupants.

The cast were perfect! The children were adorable! There were plenty of laughs and lots of tears. The music, costume and sets were all perfect. An absolute must see! I’m thrilled I get to see it.

I loved Darren Lees performance but all of the cast were fantastic. Helen George is extremely talented . Cezarah Bonner, although so petite, had immense command of the stage as queen Thiang. The orchestra was fantastic and their music combined with the precision of the dancers during "run eliza" was spine chilling. I am privileged to have seen this.

A brilliant time

Was not sure what to expect from Helen George, but the part was made for her. The story telling of Eliza was the best part for me, very well portrayed and danced. The boat she arrives on was the best scenery throughout the show and I agree the rest of scenery was not as good, but it did not spoil any enjoyment whatsoever. I would recommend to older children who love theatre and of course all adults. At the Dominion, my seat was row G 24 aisle seat and my view was brilliant for anyone wanting to book. I would go again, but it's not cheap.

Entertaining, colourful musical with a decent sized band. The sound was good and the musicians supported the vocal parts well. No over amplification here! Cezarah Bonner (the King's wife) had an singing excellent voice and diction.
